inertialPeriod

Inertial period in seconds.

Description

Real valued property with no dimensions and units of \(\mathrm{s}\).

Discussion

Inertial period in seconds.

The inertial period is computed from the Coriolis parameter as \(T_f=2\pi/f\). It is determined by rotationRate and latitude, which are set during construction.
